Vic said he had someone in mind &mdash; Grant Harris. I remember saying quite clearly, if you can get him&hellip; get him.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It was a decision nobody regrets.<\/p>\n<p>The Interior News got very lucky when Grant said, &ldquo;yes&rdquo;.<\/p>\n<p>Smithers, in fact, the entire Bulkley Valley community, as well as&nbsp;myself, have been very fortunate to have Grant in our lives. It&rsquo;s not hyperbole when I say he is the genuine article.<\/p>\n<p>In the nearly two decades I have worked with Grant, there was, to my knowledge, not one legitimate complaint &mdash; not one &mdash; from a co-worker, client or community member. And when you work on or run a small-town community newspaper,&nbsp;it&rsquo;s darn near impossible not to have ticked off someone at sometime.<\/p>\n<p>Professionally, he was knowledgeable, honest, hard-working and community-minded.<\/p>\n<p>Personally, he was empathetic, caring and authentic.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I&rsquo;m proud to call Grant my friend and he deserves a long, rewarding and happy
