In Loving Memory ~<\/p>\n
\nFred passed away peacefully at the age of 80 after a short bout with cancer.<\/p>\n
\nHe is lovingly remembered by Lindy, his wife of nearly 59 years; their children, Roger (Lisa), Wayne (Annette) and Charline (Gills); as well as seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters. He was predeceased by two brothers and one sister.<\/p>\n
\nFred was a heavy-duty mechanic, well known for his diagnostic skills. For recreation, he fixed boats and used them, spending many happy days on the river and the ocean. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and travelling.<\/p>\n
\nHe loved his family. He also enjoyed the friends who dropped in at his shop every day.<\/p>\n
\nA celebration of life drop-in will be held at the Smithers Legion, 3840 First Avenue, on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm. <\/p>\n
\nA light lunch will be available.<\/p>\n
