\nBrian was born in Flockton, Yorkshire, England. He emigrated to Canada in April 1957, together with his father Norman, his mother Nora, and his brothers, Kenneth & Robert. Brian was well known for his good nature and hard work. He was tenacious and gave all he had in every circumstance. He worked throughout the valley at several jobs – mining in Telkwa, driving the garbage truck for the town of Smithers, the experimental farm as a labourer and the highways department.<\/p>\n
\nDespite many health challenges and adversity, Brian never backed down and was always thankful for the good things in his life. He was deeply loved by his family and will be greatly missed. He stepped into eternity to meet his saviour with his family surrounding him until the end.<\/p>\n
\nBrian is survived by his brother, Robert Atkins, his daughter, Elizabeth Barendregt (Andy), his daughter Victoria O’Farrell (Robert), grandson, Adrian Barendregt, granddaughter, Janna Sjoman (Mitchell), granddaughter, Maren O’Farrell, nephew, Brendan Atkins (Tammy), and nieces Tara Hamilton, Dallas Cusitar (Blaine), Nova Laubengeyer (Dean), Abra Johnson (Andrew).<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
