{"id":125963,"date":"2025-03-05T15:38:20","date_gmt":"2025-03-05T15:38:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/interior-news.com\/2025\/03\/05\/bc-firm-poised-to-become-north-americas-only-source-of-japanese-egg-dish\/"},"modified":"2025-03-05T15:38:20","modified_gmt":"2025-03-05T15:38:20","slug":"bc-firm-poised-to-become-north-americas-only-source-of-japanese-egg-dish","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/interior-news.com\/2025\/03\/05\/bc-firm-poised-to-become-north-americas-only-source-of-japanese-egg-dish\/","title":{"rendered":"B.C. firm poised to become North America&#8217;s only source of Japanese egg dish"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Fraser Valley firm is poised to corner the North American market on&nbsp;tamagoyaki.<\/p>\n<p>EggSolutions Vanderpol&#39;s&nbsp;is set to leverage a $5 million government grant to help expand manufacturing and traverse into new markets, including moving into a larger manufacturing facility.<\/p>\n<p>In addition,&nbsp;EggSolutions Vanderpol&#39;s&nbsp;also plans to purchase a tamagoyaki machine, which will make the company the only place in all of North America to have this type of device.<\/p>\n<p>By purchasing the tamagoyaki&nbsp;machine, the business will become the exclusive producer of the popular Japanese egg dish for both Canadian and Asian markets.<\/p>\n<p>Another major change&nbsp;the Abbotsford company will undergo is improving its wastewater treatment system, increasing its ability to&nbsp;convert waste into fertilizer and greatly reduce the environmental footprint of the company.<\/p>\n<p>These improvements, along with those made by the other six B.C. companies who shared a total of&nbsp;$18.3 million&nbsp;announced by Emergency Preparedness Minister Harjit Sajjan through the Pacific Economic Development Agency of Canada (PacifiCan) on March 3, are estimated to create an additional 270 jobs throughout the province.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;British Columbians are known around the world for innovation. Business leaders across the province are transforming industries like agriculture and digital technology. PacifiCan is here to support these businesses,&quot; Sajjan said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&quot;The investments announced today will strengthen B.C. companies&rsquo; competitiveness and help to ensure
