Carman was passionate with his leadership role in our communities, and took on many challenges and opportunities to improve our quality of life.<\/p>\n<p data-mce-style=\"line-height: 100%; margin: 0px;\">I want to share one semi-comical incident while Carman was mayor of Smithers.<\/p>\n<p data-mce-style=\"line-height: 100%; margin: 0px;\">Early one Saturday morning (around 2 or 3 a.m.) Carman was woken up by a phone call from a very intoxicated resident. He was complaining about a barking dog, and wanted to know what [the mayor] was going to do about it. After a brief discussion, the conversation ended. On Wednesday&nbsp;morning, about the same time, Carman returned the call and asked if the dog was still barking?<\/p>\n<p data-mce-style=\"line-height: 100%; margin: 0px;\">Thank you Carman for your years of service.<\/p>\n<p data-mce-style=\"line-height: 100%; margin: 0px;\"><strong>Brian J.
