August 13, 1931 – July 28, 2025<\/b><\/p>\n
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear Husband, Dad, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa ROY.<\/p>\n
\nHe passed peacefully with his family by his side at home. Roy was born in Paradise Hill, Saskatchewan and later met his wife Lil in Belbutte, Saskatchewan. They were married and moved to Telkwa, BC in 1957. Roy & Lil just celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on July 15th.<\/p>\n
\nRoy & Lil lived in Telkwa for over 50 years, raising their 4 children. They had a very full life together, raising a family, being community service volunteers, joining and<\/p>\n
\nparticipating in clubs, teams,music and dancing, always having an open door to family and friends.<\/p>\n
\nHe will be missed by many.<\/p>\n
\nRoy is predeceased by: Sons: Glen Roy and Kevin Robert Chick<\/p>\n
\nParents: Doris and Art Chick<\/p>\n
\nIn-Laws: Clifford & Olga Hawkins<\/p>\n
\nRoy is survived by; his loving wife Lil Chick<\/p>\n
\nChildren; Marvin Chick (Catherine), Muriel Bruintjes (Colin), Tracy Godfrey (Robert), Daughter-in-law Kim Chick<\/p>\n
\nGrandchildren; Emily Chick (Dylan Wojcichowsky), Jayme White (Connor), Matt (Tigger) Bruintjes (Amanda), Kayla Watrich (Chad), Daron Bruintjes, Aliesha Glover (Derek), Blake Godfrey<\/p>\n
\nKevin’s Children; Ross Chick, Ben Grant and stepsons Chase Wentzell and Justin Watson<\/p>\n
\nGreat Grandchildren; Elliott White, Jaden, Noah and Paisley Bruintjes Carson, Callie and Chloe Watrich Glenn, Zachary and Paul Glover<\/p>\n
\nBrother-in-law; Doug Hawkins (Kelda)<\/p>\n
\nAnd many more family and friends that loved him.<\/p>\n
\nThe family wishesto give special thanksfor Roy’s care to: Wellspring Homecare, Doctor Chris Yeker and the Coho Clinic Team, Northern Health Palliative Care group, and all the family and friends who helped with his care and support along the way.<\/p>\n
