This is particularly true for those living outside major cities, where long distance travel for appointments, tests and treatment is often unavoidable.<\/p>\n<p>To ease that burden, the <a href=\"https:\/\/cancer.ca\/en\/living-with-cancer\/how-we-can-help\/cancer-travel-and-accommodation-services-bc?utm_source=black+press+media&amp;utm_medium=cpc&amp;utm_campaign=ctaas2025&amp;utm_content=sponsored-content_mainpage-EN&amp;ccs_id=15687&amp;ccs_campaign=ctaas2025&amp;s_src=cpc-black+press+media-ctaas2025&amp;s_subsrc=sponsored-content_mainpage-EN\" target=\"_blank\">Canadian Cancer Society offers the Cancer Travel and Accommodation Services (CTAAS) program<\/a>. Thanks to the generous funding from the Government of B.C., this vital support is available to B.C. residents who are currently in active treatment or will soon be undergoing active treatment, and who meet specific income and distance criteria.<\/p>\n<p>Whether it&#39;s chemotherapy, specialized procedures like bone marrow transplants, CAR-T therapy, or ongoing follow-up care, the costs of travel and accommodation can quickly become overwhelming.
