An earthquake shook parts of the South Island early Tuesday (Oct. 21) morning.<\/p>\n
Earthquakes Canada says a 3.1-magnitude earthquake occurred 13 kilometres north of Sidney, 23 kilometres east of Duncan <\/strong>and 37 kilometres north of Victoria at 5:30 a.m.<\/p>\n The earthquake was “lightly felt” on the Saanich Peninsula, says the federal body, and its depth was 16 kilometres.<\/p>\n Of 79 reports, 74 people said the earthquake felt weak and caused no damage.
