On a mission to conquer health trauma, one man has picked up where Terry Fox left off and is running across the country.<\/p>\n

The Fellow in Yellow, Trevor Redmond, is the cross-Canada runner.<\/p>\n

After nearly losing his leg in an accident at the age of 15 and now 54 he has traveled more than 35,600 kilometres.<\/p>\n

“This is about reaching as many as people across Canada as I run,” Redmond told The Morning Star, stopped on Highway 97B between Salmon Arm and Enderby Oct. 27.<\/p>\n

The medical system saved his leg and inspired him to encourage others to keep moving to recover mobility as an important part of their overall health.<\/p>\n

And this isn’t even his first trek.<\/p>\n

His two previous journeys across the country were walking and then biking.<\/p>\n

He visits as many communities as possible instead of taking a direct route across country and will be in Vernon soon.<\/p>\n

He was in Salmon Arm over the weekend and stopped in Enderby Monday night. He will be in Armstrong Tuesday, possibly reaching Vernon in the evening, or Wednesday.<\/p>\n

His journey is very fluid and organic, stopping whenever anyone wants to chat, whether it be road-side or being welcomed into homes.<\/p>\n

Or just look for the Fellow in Yellow on the highway.<\/p>\n

His trek continues south to Kelowna and Penticton and further down B.C. towards Vancouver Island.<\/p>\n
