UPDATE:

Police advise they have located Mitchell Turchyniak.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Smithers RCMP, along with a local partner agency, are requesting the public’s assistance in confirming the well-being of Mitchell Turchyniak.

Police say that at this time, the only photograph that is available is approximately 13 years old.

Police are requesting the public’s help from anyone who may know how to connect officers with Mitchell Turchyniak or his family. RCMP said their priority is to confirm that he is safe and well.

Mitchell is described as: 49 years old; Caucasian male; 5’8” (173 cm) tall and 154 lbs (70 kg) with brown hair and blue eyes.

Police have been actively attempting to locate Turchyniak , but despite ongoing efforts, he has not been found.

Attempts to contact or locate family members have also been unsuccessful.

Smithers RCMP and their community partner remain concerned for Turchyniak’s well-being and are asking for the public’s assistance in confirming his safety.
