Smithers Fall Fair strives to bee all it can bee

The annual Bulkley Valley Ex kicks off next week. The annual parade down Main Street in Smithers is on Aug. 20 and the fall fair runs Aug. 21 -24.

The theme for this year’s fair is “Make a BEE line to the fair."

There will be plenty of old favourites coming back and some new things to see and do this year. 

The rodeo is taking place on all four days, with the BCRA-sanctioned rodeo on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The livestock rings and barns will be filled with animals and there will be milking demonstrations on Friday and Saturday. 

Shooting Star Amusements is coming back with rides, carnival games, candy floss, mini donuts, lemonade and all the great carnival food.

The Canine Stars show will be happening again. 

Uncle Chris the Clown will be around all weekend, as well as Yukon Dan the Gold Miner. 

The Petting Zoo will be open all weekend, with lambs, chickens, bunnies, goats, donkeys and ponies. There will also be face painting for the children.
